Nathan Shapiro
Nate Shapiro founded SF Investments, Inc., a NASD member firm and the predecessor of New Vernon Wealth Management, in 1972 and has more than forty years of investment industry experience. In 1979, he became the single largest shareholder of Baldwin & Lyons, Inc., a publicly traded property/casualty insurance company. He maintains his ownership to this day and serves as Chairman of the investment committee directing its $550M investment portfolio. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the ABN AMRO mutual funds and as a trustee for Alleghany Funds, a family of mutual funds sponsored by Chicago Trust Company. Nate earned a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
